Caledonian Society Meetings
Society meetings are conducted on the second Tuesday of each month. The time of the meeting is 7:30 PM and the place is St. Francis Xavier, 444 Metairie Rd. Guest and those interested in becoming members are welcome. There is no admission charge. A program follows each meeting. Meeting dates through the end of the year are listed below. The December meeting is usually suspended with a Christmas party occurring in that month but not necessarily on that day. See Map.

Royal Scottish Country Dance
Classes are held at St. Francis Xavier Church 444 Metairie Rd. starting 7:30 pm. most Fridays.
The public is welcome with no prior experience required.

Orleans Area Bagpipe Bands Marching in Mardi Gras Parades 2008
The Pipes and Drums of New Orleans, The Kilts
of Many Colours, elements of the New Orleans Irish Pipe Band and others will be
marching in a variety of parades this 2008 Mardi Gras season.
On the north shore these parades will be
Sun, Jan. 20/Perseus in Slidell,
Sat, Jan. 26/Push Mow & Olympia in Covington and
Fri, Feb. 1/Orpheus in Mandeville.
Two of these parades this season will be on the south shore.
These will be Iris on Saturday, Feb. 2 and REX, of course on Mardi Gras Day, Feb.
